- Commit your family to God, seeking His guidance in applying His principles to make your home and family Christ centered. (Psalms 1:1-3)
- Pray for Godly relationships among family members. (Genesis 12:3)
- Pray for those that have been affected by divorce, asking God to heal and, where possible, to reconcile the broken relationship. (Psalms 147:3)
- Pray that families will repent of unresolved anger and that Christ will bring healing to families.(I John 1:9) Pray for parents to live Godly, Spirit-filled lives at home. Decide to be diligent to make your home Christ centered. Seek His wisdom on applying His precepts and principles in your home. (Ephesians 3:13-19) Ask God to cause your children to be examples for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (I Timothy 4:12)
- Pray for singles to be devoted to the things that are pleasing to God. That He will fill their hearts with His love; and they will taste and be satisfied with His friendship. Pray for sexual purity. Pray for healing of those that are single through divorce or death. (I Corinthians 7:32)
- Pray for the elderly that thy will bear fruit in old age, staying fresh and green, proclaiming, “The Lord is just and that there is no unrighteousness in Him.” (Psalms 92:14-15)
- Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain in our attempt to leave a legacy. Commit your family and business to the Lord, asking Him to give you direction in building your home. (Psalms 127:1) Pray for family members who do not know God, asking Him to open their eyes to His great love and forgiveness.
- Fathers, value your children as gifts, not burdens, knowing that children are a reward from the Lord. (Psalms 127:3)
- Pray for mothers and fathers to be faithful in praying for their family, asking God to meet their needs. (Philippians 4:19)
- Pray for families to depend on God’s Word for guidance in their everyday lives. (Psalms 119:105)
- Pray that the family finances will reflect Godly values. Ask God to remove the lies materialism produces, but rather families will find their significance in God, not in their possessions. (Matthew 6:25-30)
- Ask God to teach contentment with His provisions. (Philippians 4:11-13)
- Pray for families to look to God to provide for their needs, not themselves, but rather let the fathers teach their children to seek God with their whole heart, soul and mind. (Hebrews 11:6)
- Ask God to remove all sexual immorality and impurity from the family, but rather, ask God to help the family walk together in the spirit, being careful not to follow after our own wants and desires. (Ephesians 5:3; Galatians 6:8)
- Ask God to give fathers wisdom on how to train their children, not stirring them to anger, but brining them up in God’s great love. (Ephesians 6:1-4)
- Ask God to protect the victims of domestic violence, delivering families from strife, envy and violence. (Romans 13:13)
- Ask God to fill families with the knowledge of God’s will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Pray that Christian families will walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him and being fruitful in every good work. (Colossians 1:9-10)
- Pray for families to increasing in the knowledge of God, strengthened with all might, according to God’s glorious power. (Colossians 1:11)
- Pray for fathers to set the example of walking humbly with God, loving mercy and being determined to act justly in all they do. (Micah 6:8)
- Pray that God will establish the hearts of the fathers and the family, so they will never be shaken. (Psalms 112:6)
- Pray that families across the land will resist the temptation of materialism and will honor God with all the possession and give Him the first fruits of their increase. (Proverbs 3:9)
