- Pray for the news, entertainment and print media. Ask God to bring His kingdom into the broadcast industries and the newspapers/magazines. (Zechariah 8:16)
- Pray that the public will crave righteousness to be depicted in the media and that real Christian values will be represented so that the rest of the world that idolizes Hollywood, will turn to worship Jesus. (Matthew 5:6)
- Ask God to draw influential people to Himself and that they will become ambassadors for Him. (2 Corinthians 5:18-20). Ask God to give you a list of TV personalities to pray for.
- Pray for Christians to contend for the faith against the department stores, media promotions and others that present and promote tolerance of same sex marriages, turning the grace of God into promiscuity and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 3)
- Pray for our media personnel to bring Godly values back to America, creating a hunger and thirst for God’s righteousness. (Matthew 5:6)
- Pray for Americans to turn their eyes away from worthless things in the media and to crave righteousness. (Psalms 119:37; Matthew 5:6)
- Ask God to inspire artists and the entire entertainment industry with creativity and wisdom that reflects God’s character.
- Pray they will go against the flow of pop culture that doesn’t honor God. (Exodus 35:31-33)
- Pray that news agencies will change their focus from sensationalized evil, to celebrating the heroes in the news; the men and women of integrity that reflect God’s righteous character. (Romans 12:2)
- Ask God to raise up godly men and women in the news media who love truth and will report the news accurately and fairly. Pray for those who love unrighteousness, that they will accept God’s love and forgiveness. (Matthew 18:11)
- Often in this information generation it is easy to become overloaded and paralyzed in thinking that what we do will not make much difference and therefore we do nothing. Ask God to give you discernment to prioritize and focus on the really important things, rather than be overloaded with too much information or good things. Seek God on how to be involved in various opportunities, whether by praying, sharing or by showing your care by some call to action. (Hebrews 10:24-25) Devote each day to the Lord.
- Pray for revival in our nation, asking God for a greater Christian influence in all types of media. (Colossians 2:8)
- Pray for laborers to speak to those in media circles about the love of God. Pray believers in the industry will take every opportunity to use their talents to share Christian values and principles with their audience. (Zechariah 8:16)
- Pray for protection of our children from predators on the Internet. Ask God to give wisdom to the lawmakers to be able to write laws that can be regulated for the protection of our youth from these predators. (Colossians 2:3; Matthew 18:5-6)
- Pray that Christians will guard their hearts and their minds especially while they surf the internet, making a covenant with their eyes to turn away from pictures or text that may pop up as they surf, so they may not sin against God and man. Pray that more people would use internet filters to help block out offensive pop-ups and pictures. (Psalms 101:3)
- Pray that publishers, producers, sponsors and performers will be awakened to God’s principles and will recognize man’s philosophy as empty deception. (Colossians 2:8)
- Pray that sponsors will desire wholesome shows to represent and advertise their products and will take a stand against unrighteousness and filthy talk. (Ephesians 4:29)
- Pray for alternative news sources, devoted to following Christian principles, able to compete with the liberal news media, presenting whole truths without sensationalism or bias, gaining the confidence of secular and Christian audiences. (Ephesians 5:6-10)
- Pray for parents to be responsible and help train their children by limiting the amount of garbage that enters their children’s eyes and minds. Let them teach their children to make good use of their time, rather than wasting so much time on video games and other forms of entertainment, because the time for Christ’s return is short. Pray parents will start making good choices in the entertainment fields too. (I Timothy 6:13-14)
